Prayer Retreats for Nations

In the spring of 1997 I met a man.

He was broken, scared, and was preparing to return to Sudan;

to a life where he was responsible for the safety of thousands of Christians.  He was famous in heaven and in his country.

He had done many great exploits, in overcoming the enemy.

One of these was recorded on p.351 in the

WindoWatchman2 book of reports on the1040 window.

I had the privilege of showing him the report of his heroic act recorded for all to see. It answered his pain---- that no one knew or cared about the 35-year civil war and take-over of his country.

As he would tell me about his country, I became broken too.

He had been sent to the USA, not to raise funds,

but to recover from trauma.

Soon, I was so broken, I began to cry and sob for this country.

I cried all day, every day, for 2 months. It was unreal.

I would straighten myself, to speak to other people,

and then the tears would take over again.

Jesus was imparting His heart to me for His inheritance -The Nations.

Psalm 2:8 speaks of this:

"Ask of ME, and I will surely give the nations as Thine inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as Thy possession.

The Lord spoke to me and told me to call people together to pray for this country. I went to a cabin with the harp, and four other intercessors to pray. After three days of prayer, I was no longer crying. The burden had lifted.

I immediately began to fund-raise for the work in Sudan. A year later I read in the Washington Post (religious section), about a group that had recently formed to raise funds for Sudan and to bring it to media and congressional attention. They raised over a million dollars, for the work of this same man I had met. Sudan was now in the news.

Another woman worked to start an Aglow chapter for the women.

These connections with the rest of the world were desperately needed and by the Christians in Sudan. Our prayers were being answered before our eyes in such a big way.

About two weeks after the prayer retreat, I began to

"get sick" all over again, but this time it was for Pakistan.

But now I knew how to get rid of this terrible exquisite pain.

I had a prayer retreat!

These retreats are ongoing events of the ministry.

With "Lebanon" we began to add the arts to express the prayer.

1995         Prayer-walked in Turkey

(My third personal prayer assignment --pray over each city)

1996        United States

(4th prayer assignment, 6 months long with fasting)

Supporting Groups

Qadash is a Hebrew word meaning:

to be, (make, pronounce or observe as) clean

(ceremonially or morally)

to

appoint,  bid,  consecrate,  dedicate,  defile,

hallow, holy,  keep,  prepare,  proclaim,

purify,  sanctify ones self wholly.

This is the name of a group of young musicians and artists (mostly teenagers), who agree to fulfill their name.

These are the ones who do the work of the ministry.

It is a permanent position until they ask to be released.

You can hear them on the prayer retreat CD's

of the various countries that we pray for.

The group is ever changing as we add

guest musicians who join us.

We play original music of many styles (depending on what musicians are with us) which we make up on the spot for whatever needs to be prayed.

Our home base is in Maryland, outside of Washington DC.

The group was formed in 1998 on the

7th anniversary of the death of Paulette Snyder.

The Lord was making a living memorial.

Art

Melchizedek's Treasure is a place of creativity

where visual art expressions are not just an adornment

of what is being prayed, but is usually the foremost place to find where God is headed with a subject.

We call it prophetic art because God

speaks to / through us in the rendering. This is often on paper, whiteboard, canvas, or just as often,

a visual act of particular meaning.

In the art community the closest thing to it

is called performance art.

It is cooperation with the Holy Spirit at high levels.

We have several artists who "do events" with us.

Many of them are teens.

Here are some photographs of visual art at events.

Dance

To qualify as ministry, dance must have spiritual meaning

It is expressed to God or to other people.

To promote the Holy Spirit's free expression in all of us,

we do not have a traditional dance team

nor is anything choreographed; but by the leading of the Spirit,

all  move in directed obedience to express what the Holy Spirit deems appropriate.
